Chapter 1 New World, New Web, New Skills
Chapter 2 Students and Learning
Chapter 3 New Tools
New, new. Kids are taking the role as an active user. Students "connect and collaborate" instead of sitting there like baby birds waiting for momma to mouth feed them. The internet has connected us in communication about our daily lives as well as our daily learning. Connectivity provies immediate feedback from peers and pros.
Web 2.oh! has become oracle of delphi. We go to it for answers, work, collaboration, connection. Web 2.oh! has taken Bloom and blossomed into "-ing" (doing, knowing, building, creating)
Web 2.oh! tools allow us to connect, collaborate, create!
Chapter 4 New Tools in Schools
Chapter 5 Professional Development
Chapter 6 Leadership and New Tools
Chapter 7 Online Safety Security
Chapter 8 Systemic Issues
Chapter 9 New Schools
71% of parents believe that online safety is the schools job? While they are at school, I agree. But a great deal of our students have an afterschool online life as well. In 5th grade we teach about hygiene as well, but they dont bathe at school... This would be my "disagree"
We aspire to get the parents more involved in www safety. We can detail what they are doing in the classroom and for homework. Invite them in and dialog with them about how proper online behavior carries over to their home lives.
